There is also a great deck area to lounge in and a picnic table to sit around and play games or share snacks. We would definitely stay there again!

The property features quiet street views. The homestay has family rooms. The hosts are exceptional! The friendliest people I’ve met on my trip. They went over and above to make sure I was comfortable, and even gave me a lift to the ferry the next morning, which was extremely helpful. I got the TicaBus to Rivas, and it was approx 12mins walk to the accom (or I paid $4 for a bike taxi because my bag was heavy and I was very tired)

This beachfront property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The place was beautiful, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was nice. We stayed in the van and it was great.

All units at the hostel are equipped with a seating area. At Rancho Tranquillo every room has a private bathroom and bed linen. The ranch is beautiful and spaceous with lots of hammocks and spots to hang out. Daniela and Tony are the absolute best, so kind and helpful. There is only one dorm, so not that many people, and because of that it feels like a small family. The ranch is 15 minute walk from the town/ferry, so it is nice and quiet. The breakfasts are amazing and really good value, and one day we had a family dinner, which was delicious. You are surrounded by animals and flowers and trees, even mango-trees which you can help yourself from! They organise volcano tour (with delicious packed lunch), kayak and laundry if you need. This was my favourite place to stay on my trip, everyone should go visit this ranch!!

Reina was exceptional, she welcomed us to the hotel and made the most delicious dinner for us, she then woke up extra early to prepare breakfast for us before we hiked the volcano. She makes this place as incredible as it is, thank you Reina !

We could have not dreamt of a better place to get stranded. Sure, the way up to the hostel is steep and rocky, but so is life and you will be rewarded by a fresh breeze, likeminded people and the friendliest staff on earth (s/o to Philipp, Diego and Larissa). Whether you surf or not, you will enjoy your time as the team and fellow travellers organise regular events. We'll be back soon.
