There is a private entrance at the villa for the convenience of those who stay. The villa has family rooms. We arrived very early and were able to check in instantly. After that we got a lot of fruits (banana, watermelon, mango) for free. The house was very clean. You could see that we were only the third guests, because everything was very new and modern. The owner was very friendly and helped us with everything instantly. We could also rent bikes for our stay.

Neem Forest GH is somewhat outside the city but only a short tuktuk ride away. As a result it is a beautifully peaceful and extremely quiet location. Dawn chorus of birds was amazing. The host was extremely helpful and ready to talk about all matter of subjects. The Sri Lanken breakfast was always too much and the host made sure it was always different. Nearby is the many kilometer long sand beach (no other tourists) where you watch the fishermen pull in their nets of caught fish. Meem Forest is highly recommended.

It was a quick stay but the host ensured I had everything I needed from the moment I arrived. The room was very large with lots of areas to sit and or set your personal items on which was appreciated. I had a spacious kitchen to cook if I preferred (grocery store right down the street). The bathroom was on the smaller side but had everything you’d need.

You can use the local hotel for a small charge (Laya $3 Uga $8). Krish and her staff are very kind & welcoming. Krish really is an incredible woman, goes above and beyond for her guests. We had a meal across the road that did not satisfy & after reading reviews about Krish’ food (request in advance) we had an exceptional meal of prawns, rice and curry. Thank you so much Krish, it was a pleasure meeting you. 2 nights wasn’t enough. Expect a quiet area with no WiFi, clean, comfortable and spacious- you will not be disappointed! Sri Lankan breakfast was also superb.
