A recently renovated homestay situated in Lanquín, Casa " MARY " features a garden. Boasting full-day security, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk, a shuttle service, free shuttle service and free WiFi. This place went above and beyond of what I expected. They pick you up at no extra cost and they welcome you with such warmth! In addition the place is spotless. They also provide shuttle service to Antigua, Atitlan etc for about 225 Q. We had all our meals here, plus beers, laundry service, bought water shoes ( that you can also rent for 30 Q) etc, and it all came to about 500 Q. This place is a gem!
Chijoú
Situated in Chijoú, Paraiso Verde provides accommodation with seating area. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. Guests can make use of the sun terrace or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the river and garden. It is a really calm place in the Nature. You can take nice walks in the rainforest. The stuff is really friendly. Especially Otto was really helpful. I would recommend if you are searching something to come down.

Hotel El Nawal is situated in Lanquín, 3 km from Semuc Champey, and has a restaurant, a garden and a bar. A tour desk can provide information on the area. Loved the location a nice walk to Semuc Champey (but the walk back is uphill, so I wish I took a pickup back). The owner Manuel is great, really helpful and knowledgeable. He pointed out all the types of plants, (coffee, cacao, and spices) as he drove us from the shuttle dropoff spot to the hostel in his pickup. Ask him about the cave at the hostel. The other staff are also great. Whenever anyone ordered food or a shuttle, the guys working knew everyone's names without asking and never mixed up the tabs. The mattress in the 8 bed dorm was nice, didn't feel any springs. The showers are cold, so take it when you're extra sweaty. The buildings are basic and have metal roofs, which was the first time I stayed in a place with that. It gets hot in the middle of the day, so go out and enjoy the nature instead! The power went out my last day during the day, but by dinnertime they got a generator working. Food is good portions and less pricey than I expected after being in El Paredon a few days prior.

Amazing hostel! The dorm was nice and cosy in a treehouse setup and the beds were still so comfy. The hostel was very clean, especially the bathrooms, the staff were super friendly and the location is a 40 min walk from Semuc Champey, so easy to walk or take a tuktuk if you prefer. The restaurant food is decent and not expensive, around 40-50q for a meal. They also had extremely cute dogs :)
We loved our stay at Greengos, we even added on an extra night. We loved the location and that it was in the middle of the Guatemalan jungle/mountains, when else will we ever experience that again! The chilled area around the pool is brilliant - the pool was spotless day & night and just a great place to chill out. The staff were brilliant, so helpful and always on hand to answer any questions.
Location next to the river. Friendly staff. Tranquil pretty garden. Bathrooms very clean. We were moved to a better room.
Casa Mary is ideal for visiting Semuc Champey. They pick you up from the shuttle in their TukTuk which is ideal after a long day on the bus. David her son offers tours, which we did and it was brilliant. The restaurant on site offers cheap lovely food served by Olga and her team. Yes the walls are very thin but if you have earplugs you won’t hear a thing. The rooms are clean and Casa Mary offers excellent value for money. BOOK IT…
The location and vibe of this hostel are amazing. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant/bar has enough to offer and for very affordable prices. Don't expect something from the village Lanquin itself because it has not much to nothing to offer. If you are coming to relax and enjoy the nature, and specifically the Semuc Champey then this is the perfect hostel to spent a couple of nights. Beautiful place to stay!

Great location close to Lanquin town and 15 min walk to the river. If you manage to get one of the cheap double rooms it’s probably the best value accommodation in Lanquin! David is extremely friendly and welcoming.
Location is perfect, a short walk to Semuc Champey. The vibe of the overall hostel is great. It's so warm and you feel like you could relax and stay there forever but also if you're after a few Bev's they also have you covered. Everything was exceptionally clean, the staff are amazing, the food is delicious and reasonably priced. The pool is a great addition and was very clean. Would absolutely recommend this hostel to everyone. I particularly loved the communal area to hang out and lay around in the hammocks for some down time.
