In beautiful Lakeland surroundings overlooking an idyllic brook, Glencree is situated between the villages of Bowness and Windermere. With free parking and free Wi-Fi, it serves hearty breakfasts cooked to order. Guests can swim in the property's off-site pool. Located in a perfect location within walking distance of a number of eating establishments Breakfast and staff were extremely helpful. Had a room on the top floor with a vertical spiral staircase. Ask for this room. Provided parking which was also a plus. The rate should have been higher as one could not ask for more. Would have paid more without a second thought.

The surrounding National Park offers plenty of scenic routes for walking and cycling, and Ambleside is a 10-minute drive away. Windermere Rail Station is a 5-minute drive from the building. There is free parking and secure bike lock up on site. Room inside is very clean, Debbie and Elliott are very kind and nice to us. We love here every thing.

The Highfield is in Keswick, in a quiet location among other hotels and homes. Keswick town centre is just a few minutes' walk away, where guests can find the popular Theatre by the Lake. Super nice staff, breakfast was excellent. Location was great to explore the town or find a path to walk

Each stylish room has fresh light décor. My father & I voted this the number 1 property we stayed at for our entire UK trip. The rooms were beyond expectation. Big, clean & comfortable. The staff were beyond helpful. One even helped us push our car out of the carpark after a snow storm! They were super friendly. The location was also brilliant.
