Pleasant surprise, I had to book a last minute room in Helsinki while a major event was made most of the hotels fully booked, the cheapest was citybox. In a few minutes I was able to book, get into the venue and quickly checkin in the automated machines. The room was super clean, amazing bed and linen. The venue is well organized, straightfoward utilities and clean premises.

The hotel was close to public transportation, so it was easy to get around. The room was comfortable, very clean, and huge, especially for a solo traveler (or at least compared to what I'm used to in Japan). I ate breakfast at the hotel's restaurant on the first morning I arrived because it was before other shops in the area opened. The breakfast buffet was delicious and fresh. The staff were the best part by far, though. 10s across the board. Everyone I interacted with was incredibly friendly and helpful but one staff in particular went above and beyond to help me (gave perfect directions, helped me download the transport app and tickets, googled things for me, etc.). Would definitely recommend to others or consider staying here again in the future.

The air-conditioned rooms of Hotel Hanasaari have either garden or sea views. All have modern décor and include a minibar. Living in Espoo, I stayed here for a small weekend trip. The atmosphere was relaxing. It's in a walking distance from a metro station, but already tranquil enough. Perfect for those who want to take distance from urban noises. (Probably not so much if you are into city sightseeing.)

And the best part was the location; on Saturday morning we opened the curtains and there was the Turku market full of flowers and cafes right at our feet, perfect.
