Macaw lodge is such a magical place. Beautiful setting, horiculturally interesting, and part of an important wildlife corridor. We saw so many different birds and animals. The highlight was our birding tour with Hugo, who is very knowledgeable about the area. We also loved sitting in the main lodge watching birds gather around the small pond. The food was fabulous, much of it locally sourced. We especially loved the fresh squeezed juice at every meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The rooms are actually small cabins scattered around the property which is very lush and teeming with birds and butterflies. We LOVED the cabin with the open bathroom. Nothing like watching a hummingbird sip from a tropical flower while brushing your teeth!
