The new owners have done a great job on the plantains around the inn : everything was in bloom when we were there - a myriad of pretty colour. 16.00-18.00 ‘Happy Hour’ was a nice touch with free wine and snax for residents Private parking and a new, very good, bistro on site along with a coffee hut with does excellent coffee, good drinks and breakfast sandwiches (the Inn gives you a $7 credit)

What a cute property in a lovely suburb. Very homely and welcomed by a very helpful and friendly member of staff. 10 minute walk to the main street where there was a lovely buzzing (lots of young students) Saturday night vibe with bars and places to grab a slice of pizza. On street parking in a very safe feeling neighbourhood.
10 minute drive to the local outdoor drive-in cinema which was awesome!

For what looks like a standard motel, this place has little touches that punch above its weight. Friendly staff, good breakfast including good coffee, cute outdoor seating areas (chairs on balcony outside breakfast room, Adirondack under a tree, might even be some by the creek), local newspapers.
We were able to walk Downtown (maybe 15-20 minutes), though there are also some nice restaurants just down the block.

We weren’t expecting much as it was just a stop over on our road trip. We now wished we had stayed a bit longer. It is a very clean motel and the pool was very nice. Really friendly and helpful staff and location just off highway was very convenient. Would definitely recommend.

This is basically a couple driveways down from the famous Madonna Inn, but I'm sure it's much more affordable. Despite that, my room was excellent; everything I tried seemed to work, bed was comfortable, room itself was large enough and staff was very nice. The Denny's next door provided 10 percent off when showing room key, which was appreciated. Convenient location off Highway 101.
Good value, good location for driving the Pacific Coast Highway, cheaper than many other places near the coast but decent enough quality for the price.
When I got there I could tell the sheets were clean, so that was great! The service came everyday and gave you fresh towels and made the bed. Communication was decent. It truly was the cheapest in SLO (as well as outside of SLO and Air BnBs)! It’s located in a perfect location off the freeway, so easy access to everywhere. I will also point out that the water pressure for the shower definitely exceeded my expectations!

Also amazing staff, we forgot our tennis rackets in the room and the reception lady and the owner were very helpful. I want to send my appreciation for these beautiful people.
The location is great, especially if you’re taking a train down south. Also close to the main street and a supermarket.
The bathrooms were very clean.
The staff were friendly, and the hostel do serve free pancakes for breakfast.
