Andrew and his parents welcomed us as if we were part of the family, they even let us eat with them in the evening and cooked us an excellent dinner with local products. They also recommended different activities for the day and Andrew is really helpful if you need a hand with transport or to organise some activities. We had a great night at the homestay. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast is served on site and dinner is just a short drive away. Both were delicious. This was a great hotel in Kisoro. The facilities were great, it has breakfast included with many different options and they were tasty. The host, Ivan, is an encyclopedia of knowledge on Uganda and surrounding areas. He helped book a tour for me and also transport to the border with Rwanda. I would definitely stay here again.

Gorilla Hills Eco-Lodge is a fantastic place to base your gorilla trekking adventure. The facilities are clean, comfortable, and well appointed, but what makes this place special is the staff. They are fantastic. We never wanted for anything. The service was incredibly personal and they went above and beyond at every opportunity to ensure our comfort and happiness. There was quite a serious snafu with our gorilla permits and Anette and her staff bent over backwards to straighten it out for us. Without their intervention, we would have left Bwindi without seeing the gorillas. They saved our entire trip. I can't thank them enough. The gorilla trekking was absolutely the highlight of our stay in Uganda. If you are going, it is a must do - bucket list- incredible experience. That said, with total confidence, I highly recommend Gorilla Hills Eco-Lodge.
