Breakfast is not buffet but includes everything you would normally ask for in a buffet (this is done to prevent food waste which I agree is a good move, you can ask for as much more as you like), the items on breakfast were very good quality too. The dinner menu was very good. The staff are extremely accommodating to pets, we brought our two dogs and we were treated very well. The surrounding area has a lot of routes for exploring which are off-roads, perfect for exploring with canine companions, the hotel itself is an excellent base camp for visiting most of the areas of interest in Serra da Estrela.
What we found amazing are the natural waterfalls within the hotel; a tip if you enjoy bracing the cold is go to the sauna and then enjoy the waterfall shower!

While the apartment is next to road, it was very quiet at night. The apartment is comfortable, clean and tidy. It is easy to collect key from the key box. Kitchen is fully equipped. It is a little cold due to mountainous location. However, there is enough blanket and warmer if required. It has a very good location to stay if you travel in this area.
