Our host, Filipe, was very kind and took time to tell us about the local area and Madeira. There was a book with maps and tips as well. He also left a large loaf of fresh baked bread and some eggs from the chickens who roamed the farm. To top it all off, he was able to arrange for our laundry to be done the last full day we were there, even though it was a national holiday! Contact with the owner is outstanding, we did get all the answers to our questions immediately. Location of the house aslo is great, 15 min to airport and 20 min to Funchal.
