Perfect location, close to Granada, and yet isolated and serene. Our room with a private balcony had an amazing view of the Mombacho volcano. The owners were amazing and made sure everything was perfect. Their attention to detail was unparalleled, and the ambiance exceptional. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We are so happy we found El Respiro. Truly a breath of fresh air.

Wish we could give more 'points'. This place was the most amazing and pleasant accommodation in the more than 2 weeks traveling in Nicaragua. Everything was just perfect. The location (one of the small islands -Isletas- on a 15 min boat trip away from Granada with only 4 other huts), the design (beautiful colors and functionality), the staff (during the afternoon/evening English and very kind/helpful), delicious food and free use of kayaks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Secret Cottage in Granada. There is such a warm and friendly atmosphere throughout the hotel and the whole staff was so helpful and welcoming, especially owner Liam and concierge staff members Martin and Steven. It is clear that so much care and thoughtfulness went into making this a very special place, on all levels. Staying at Secret Cottage in Granada was a true highlight of our trip. You won’t regret it!
