Hidden gem tucked away a few minutes from the beach! It's actually a villa with a 360 degrees views. I was able to catch the sunrise and the sunset from the rooftop. Was treated as a friend and was offered dinner and breakfast by the owner. Delicious falafel and manakish 😍 . Cannot recommended enough !!

We (4 adults) stayed in the Jungle Joy villa for 12 days in February 2022. It is a cosy and peaceful place to stay in Unawatuna surrounded by nature. The location is highly convenient: 10 mins on foot to Jungle Beach where we did snorkelling and 10 mins to the main public beach of Unawatuna where you can enjoy Sri-Lanka food with an amazing view on the ocean. Our part of the villa had everything necessary: 2 spacy bedrooms, one bathroom inside and one outside, a living room and a well-equipped kitchen with a gas stove, a kettle, a refrigerator, different dishes for cooking and eating. The apartment itself was cleaned every day and we didn't have any mosquitos or spiders inside :) I definitely recommend to try breakfast for separate payment (you can look at my pics, our breakfasts were so yummy and so huge). About the host Asanka - he is the best! I've never had such a welcoming, responsive and helping host. He managed everything we asked for, for example, he helped us find a good yoga teacher, a transfer to the airport, a driver to the Sinharaja Forest, organised Tuk Tuks when we needed them. He was always in touch and ready to help. When it was raining but we weren't at home, he took care of our clothes which was drying outside. It was so sweet! We were very lucky to find this apartment and meet Asanka :) I highly recommend staying here and enjoy your time on Sri-Lanka.

The people working there were really nice and helpful. Many thanks to Gayana and her husband for everything! They are doing a great job of keeping the property nice and clean. Welcome drink was very good. Breakfast was amazing. Location was top and close to the bars, restaurants and the beach. Room was very authentic and cozy with very good AC.

Such a lovely stay! The family who runs Maple Place are so kind and thoughtful, lots of attention to detail. They allowed us to leave our bags early and even provided a cold drink while we waited for the room to be ready. The room was clean, exactly as pictured, always had hot water, and ac/fan worked excellently. Location on the main road was a short walk or tuk tuk ride to the beach or town. The breakfast was so delicious and had variety for our 3 night stay. Highly recommend we would definitely stay here again!

Breakfast was excellent, the owner and the staff very friendly and helpful. Great location, very quiet but only 10 mins away from the beach and the city centre. Staff was really friendly and helpful. We could check out a few hours later to have shower after the beach. The host helped us to travel to Colombo and organized us a tuktuk. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The location was great, really close to the beach. The building has a huge terrace.
