The room was beautiful and clean, the host was the best woman in the world. Val d’Orcia is extremely beautiful place to visit, on of the most impressive I’ve ever seen. And the host is perfect, highly recommended place to stay! Everything inside the apartment was super-clean and cosy, we could use perfect kitchen with every possible needed thing in it, we could go by foot to see panoramic beautiful sunset or go by car and see beautiful mountain Toscana places and even Gladiator movie shooting point. The location is convenient, just off the Via Francigena and close to shopping and restaurants. A nice cake was waiting for us. The host told us where we could get a Via Francigena stamp. The kitchen is good for cooking a very simple meal. Comfortable bed.

Breakfast was generous, delicious, and top quality. The vista seen from our guesthouse is breathtaking. Pictures cannot describe, one has to be there to enjoy the beauty of the view.

After the hustle and bustle of Florence, we opted for a two-night stay at Casa del Susino on our 8-day journey through Tuscany, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. The house is nestled in an idyllic location in the village of Poggio Rosa, boasting breathtaking views of the Tuscan countryside. Its proximity to other charming towns and stunning landscapes is truly invaluable. Our hostess was gracious, warm, and incredibly welcoming. The entire household exudes authenticity and comfort. From the charming decor to the tranquil surroundings, Casa del Susino provided us with a delightful retreat. The apartment itself was incredibly cozy and impeccably clean, with two separate bedrooms adorned with charming decor that truly captured the essence of the place we were visiting. From the moment we stepped inside, everything exuded a sense of home, but what truly stood out (and if you're reading this review, you've probably heard about it by now) were as we called them: Le torte della Nonna- freshly baked cakes every day. And let's not forget the added bonus of the local osteria, Le Rocche, in nearby Castiglione d'Orcia, where you can indulge in excellent homemade local specialties and pizzas.

We had a wonderful stay! Lucia and her family were great hosts. Our apartment was very well equiped and it was cozy and very clean. The views from the terrace are stunning and give you a perfect glimpse of Tuscany. The place is well connected to beautiful towns such as Montalcino, Montepulciano, Pienza,Siena. If you’re fond of good wine, there are a lot of options for wine tasting. We’ve been very happy during our stay and we highly recommended it :-)

Peaceful Oasis are the two words that comes to mind. Over the course of a month, my husband and I stayed in 18 different places (together and separately), and this was the one we both regretted leaving the most. Our host was gracious beyond measure. The accommodations were welcoming, and the views were beautiful beyond description. On our second night, we were especially fortunate to have the place all to ourselves. We were told that the roads of Val d'Orcia were the most beautiful in Italy. We felt ridiculously lucky to find that this beautiful gem at the end of the road!

A true gem in a beautiful location. We were looking for a quiet farmhouse to stay for our visit in south Tuscany, and it exceeded our expectations to become the best stay we had in Italy. Roberto was a great host, kind and helpful. The facilities are tidy, the room was clean and well organized with a full equipped kitchen with everything that you need to prepare yourself a decent meal. We were amazed by how the Roberto thought of everything, from wood for the fireplace waiting for you outside the door to salt and pepper in the kitchen. Compared to other country side farmhouses we stayed in, Poggio Al Vento was by far the best. Highly recommended!
