The apartments are in a great location, close to everything you need, though nothing is really far away!
For me this type of accomodation is preferable to a hotel as you have the privacy and can do things on your own schedules, and have facilities to get groceries and not have to eat/drink out all the time.
Netto is about a 25min walk away and is open later than Bonus so this was perfect for when I arrived.
The facilities in the apartment are all in good condition and I didn't have any problems with anything in the apartment when I was here. Plenty of towels, toilet roll, areas to store suitcase, clothes etc.
Communal areas were clean and tidy, the key code was provided when it said it would be, and the controls easy to use. There was a guide in the room with helpful advice and explaining oven, air vents etc
The host, Gunny, was very responsive to messages, very helpful in the lead up to the trip, and throughout when I needed help and advice for various things. Nothing was too much trouble! It was much appreciated
I had a car for part of my trip and was able to park at the apartments each time I needed.
Others have mentioned non-opening windows - in my apartment there were small windows you could open for ventilation so this seems to vary by property.
I'm not putting this in the 'sad face' section - just an advisement that the apartments are on a hill, so if this is a challenge for you to walk up, plan accordingly. It was a good hamstring workout :-)
No accomodation is 'cheap' in Iceland - but feel K16 offers good price for what it offers and had everything I need when I stay in Iceland and would happily stay again and recommend to others.

The self service check-in and out is very convenient. There’s also a reception area but we didn’t meet anyone of the staff in our stay. Anyway they always respond via booking and they’re always willing to help.
The accommodation in Akureyri is up on a very slope road and on the day we stayed in the city it was snowing so the road was also slippery. We recommend people to drive very carefully and use a 4x4 car with appropriate winter tires. There are multiple parking spots nearby.
The room was on the first floor and it was a bit difficult to carry our heavy luggage. The room was by far the best one we’ve booked in our trip in Iceland. It was very spacious, the bed was big, it had different windows so natural light could pass through, the host provided us fresh towels, sheets, there was a hairdryer and a mini fridge as well. The bathroom was amazing, it felt luxurious. It had a tub big enough to fit 2 people, a small shower and a little balcony with a nice view of the streets and trees covered in snow.

everything - elisabeth was so friendly and helpful; place was cosy, peaceful and quiet yet close to town; breakfast was superb (amazing homemade granola and granola bar); homemade cookies were delicious!
only regret is that we didn't manage to try dinner as we could not book it in time, and that we couldn't stay any longer

A spacious modern apartment in an ideal location. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We had a couple of problems when we first got there (with the internet and the window in the bathroom), but these were sorted out the following day. It was also nice to have a washing machine and dryer so we could do some laundry in the middle of our holiday!

Really happy with our stay at K16 Apartments. The location was ideal for our short stay in Akureyri, just minutes away from bars and restaurants, with free parking on site for our hire car. Apartment was simply furnished, very clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities, very warm heating (needed given the -17c temperatures outside) wifi worked well, and access was easy with door codes. Overall a great value for money base for a long weekend exploring Northern Iceland. Would happily return
