Our host Nonie was extremely helpful when we queried where we could eat given it was a mid week off season night. The accommodation was warm, welcoming and very comfy. We simply loved the added luxury of the hot tub especially after a cold swim in one of the local beaches.

The service, gardens, home, freshness and deliciousness of food, the location, etc. I have stayed in hundreds of bed and breakfasts and this is probably the BEST one. Theresa and Massi were gracious and simply lovely! Theresa is an expert on co. Waterford and helped me a great deal with excursions and outings. I would recommend Newtown Country House and also visit it again!

Location first of all, it’s surrounded by woods and we had nice walks every day. The house it’s self was clean and comfy, has all the essentials you need for a weekend out in the country. Very suitable for large groups to stay in and safe for children to play in the yard.

Thanks Mary. Things were great. Just so you are aware, the pressure on the hot water heater was down below 1 and would not let the heater ignite. After reading unit directions we increased pressure to recommended level of between 1 and 2 and everything worked fine. A just in case for the future. Thanks for the accommodations for a great Ardmore visit.

Recently refurbished, The Round Tower Hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Ardmore’s sandy beach in County Waterford. It offers rooms with en suite bathrooms, cooked Irish breakfasts and a traditional Irish bar.
The 12th-century Ardmore Tower and the cathedral ruins stand directly behind the hotel. There are beautiful coastal walking paths nearby and free parking is available at the hotel.
