After you have done 50/100+ reviews for budget accommodation, it becomes a PITA, and you just enter a score, hit finish, and move on.
Occasionally, though, you find a place so good you just have to say something.
After weeks of being in places where there was either traffic noise, calls to prayer, roosters crowing, frogs croaking, dogs barking, night insects chirping, etc, Zizi Homey Room 202 was GLORIOUSLY QUIET.
Besides the quietness, the accommadation seems brand new. The room was sparkling clean and smelt amazing (automatic air freshener), quality bed linen (loved the bolster), AC, hot water (not always a given in Sumatra) and multi plug/USB wall sockets to mention just a few of many.
Also, good communication with host Zizi about check-in/out and restaurants/shops/activities in the area.
All in all, a great place to stay at a very reasonable price.
Ohhh. Forgot to mention, there is a kitchen on the ground floor which I did not use but assume guests could if they were staying long term??

The apartment was very nice and clean. The kids room is particular was well loved by our children. Snacks were provided on our arrival and there is also a filter fed water dispenser which was a life saver! Other amenities like the washing machine was very useful after a week in Bukit Lawang. Highly recommend for those who have a night to kill before their flight.

We got the apartment on 35th floor and facing the Mall, hotels & train station. Very nice view and especially at night when the city lights lite up. All 3 bedrooms have the best city views. A drinking water filter from Coway was a plus point for us.

The location is an hidden green paradise. We enjoyed so much our stay at the end of our 4 weeks holiday in Java and Sumatra. Very warm welcome by staff and clear instructions given upon arrival. The pool is an absolute bonus! The breakfast was top! Enough variety. If you don’t want to eat in restaurant omlandia you still find enough places on the street. Prices are off course cheaper there when you travel in budget.,Although the restaurant is recommended by us.
