I had a wonderful stay at Casa Llemo. Julio and Vilma make sure you feel like you’re at home. The breakfast included in the stay is delicious and the facilities are clean. They were also helpful in booking the Mayan Nose tour and transportation to my next destination.

The owner was so friendly and made you feel extra welcome. We had just finished our 3 day hike from Xela and you could tell he was even trying to make sure the room was ready asap for us. He even prints out a little sign welcoming you which is such a nice touch. The terrace is lovely and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is just a short walk out of town and has a more local feel.

- The place is a bit further (yet still within walking distance) from the main touristy area. This makes it much calmer and less noisy - The weekend /weekday markets are across the street. You got a bit of an additional authenticity through those (plus you can easily buy delicious fruits) - The owner was extremely helpful with answering all of our questions about the place, the neighborhood and the town - We were also allowed to check out in the afternoon which was a huge help for us (by not having to spend hours in the summer heat while waiting for our shuttle)

We had a wonderful time staying here. Miguel was such a kind host, always asked if we need anything and offered his help and even offered free laundry. The room was clean and well maintained and so is the rest of the place. Few minutes walk from the center.

I really loved that the rooms faced the lake. The views are incredible any time of day. There is a hammock right outside my door and the lake a few steps down. Great for kayaking and swimming, bathing or even doing laundry like to locals. It’s quite the experience. Gladys and her husband are wonderful!
