Everyone is so friendly and welcoming! The rooms was clean and comfortable, the bathroom too. The hosts were so helpful, offering tuktuks and shuttles, always helping us with information. There is a mini store on site and restaurant which was very well priced with lovely food. We loved everything!

Right on the river with ropeswing, good food for a good price, volleyball field, pool- and pingpong table! Staff was amazing and funny! There's definitely upgrades to make here and you can easily see the potential this place has. It could host parties and more backpackers - better vibe than at Zephyr Lodge. The dormroom is huge and the wifi only works in the restaurant. The Semuc tour from El Retiro is the one to book. You have everything included and the guides are professional and gives you some cultural information as well!

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this place was after driving through the town. Vinas is honestly like an oasis of comfort. The pool was clean and water in it just the right temperature to relax after a hot day. We spent most of the evening there. The room is really spacious, much larger then any of the other places we stayed in Guatemala. Food at the restaurant was quite good. We also got the guided Semuc Champey tour and it was AWESOME. The guide showed us places we wouldn't have found on our own and generally catered to our preferences (we are an adventurous bunch so he showed us tons of places to jump from cliffs and other fun stuff).
