Comfortable and cosy in a sleepy little village on the foothills of the mighty rocks. Good walking straight from house. Owners easy to deal with. Friendly family cat added to the farm/country like atmosphere. Wifi a little patchy at times but look at the location! Pretty amazing to have wifi at all really! Highly recommend.

Superb panorama from the apartment window and superb location - Kastraki is both authentic & calm and logistic for visiting Meteora monasteries, full of authentic tavernas with local food and splendid panoramas on the Meteora rock formations, something nearby villages cannot boast of. Super reccomended!

All we needed for a 3 nights stay in Meteora. The room is fully equipped : water and coffee machine, even toothbrush available! Very quick response from the owner at all time. Very close to the six Meteora monasteries. Beautiful panorama from the porch of the house. A quiet place, located at few steps literally, from a View point where you can spot 3 monasteries and Kastraki panorama. Loads of tavernas in the village, we enjoyed the taste of Greek food in Papas tavern, on a terrace with a view, on the main street. Don't miss the 7th monastery: Aghia Trias Askerition, carved in the mountain, which is located few minutes by foot from Panos house (see pics added). You can find it on Google maps and it's an opportunity for a very plaisant hiking. Very generous private parking, which is unique for such a small village with narrow streets! I appreciated that very much, as the car is for us a third companion, with equal rights. 😉

This was a great home! We loved having the entire home to ourselves, including a decent yard for our dogs. Very short driving distance to the monasteries and a bunch of lovely restaurants. Wish we would have stayed longer.
