The villa is spacios and well decorated with beautiful sea views. There are several terracas and a wonderful swimming pool with sunbathing area. The staff was very helpful and resposive. We really enjoyed our stay ar the villa.

We have just come back from an amazing time at Villa Sunset! Crete is an incredible island to explore and yet the villa was so well equipped, with a fantastic pool and beautiful views that it was almost tempting just to stay put for the whole holiday. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers who like their own company and the different outdoor spaces meant there was somewhere for everyone to chill out. There has been so much thought gone into the villa and it has everything that you need for your stay. There are also lots of additional extras that make the holiday complete such as a wide variety of books, board games, snorkels, and outdoor games items - we had a lot of fun with the volleyball which is something that we would never have been able to take with us in the suitcase! Ibrahim was an excellent host with exactly the right balance between being attentive and also giving us space to enjoy the holiday. We arrived in the early hours of the morning and were so grateful to have Ibrahim meet us, help with our suitcases and show us into the property. There were already essentials in the cupboard and the fridge and tasty local fruit! It was clear that nothing was too much trouble and Ibrahim's local knowledge and advice helped us immensely during the holiday. The area is lovely and quiet, surrounded by beautiful landscape and it was a real treat to be able to pick fresh lemons from the tree by the pool! The villa is not too far from Rethymno, however you do need a car to get to the property as it is about 15 minutes from the town up some very steep roads! There is a lovely taverna within walking distance of the villa - it is only about 5 minutes if you can tolerate a bit of a hill climb on the way back. Everything else needs a car, however there are plenty of supermarkets in Rethymno and to be honest if you really want to see Crete then a car is a must anyway. We prefer to be out of the really touristy areas and so this was the perfect base for us.

Villa is located in a quiet and beautiful location, it is surrounded by olive trees and very private. There is just one other villa next to it but they are situated in a way that no one sees each other. It is around 10 min ride to the nearest town and lidl shop. The pool is big and the sunbeds are very comfy. Inside of the house is very spacious and beautifully designed as well. The fact that the fridge was full when we arrived was very nice and helpful. The host was generally very helpful. There is a washing machine if you need one.

- We adored the location of the villa. The setting is peaceful, as you're surrounded by olive groves in the Cretan countryside with mountain and sea views, making the villa feel very private but still a fantastic base for exploring Rethymno and Crete. A quiet retreat after a day of exploring. - The villa was super clean and modern. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need to cook in, and the smart TV in the living area was huge. Luxurious touches like the bath with jets in the main bedroom, a private pool and rainfall shower. - Our villa was cleaned every 3 days and the hosts were lovely. - Despite the rural location, we felt very safe as the area is well-lit and security cameras protect the driveway and villas. Shutters over all windows for privacy and security. - 100Mbps+ WiFi
