We had a wonderful stay! The host was very kind and welcoming. She even improvised a lovely dinner next to the cosy fire, when we arrived late, wet and exhausted by bike. The old school has been renovated beautifully and with great attention to detail.

Close to the end of a tough day on the Pennines Way. Great hosts and the food was excellent with good portions and try the chocolate brownie. Nothing was too much trouble for the host. We felt very welcome and well fed. Thank you Lana.

Very warm friendly welcome comfy bed and good relaxing Sunday breakfast
For those on a budget, these cheap and cheerful hotels still have a lot to offer, with most offering WiFi and convenient locations. The location. Absolutely immaculately clean and tidy. Lovely little private garden. Large rooms for a cottage. Large shower. Would most likely book again.
Great location. Authentic miner's cottage, flagged floors, dark timbered ceiling and cupboards, fun to light woodturning stove and AGA. The heat pump air-conditioning in the lounge added warmth on a very cold weekend. Internet worked well. Mini bathroom in main bedroom very hand.
