The room was lovely, big and airy with an outside seating area which was a lovely surprise. The bathroom was huge and provided some really nice toiletries. The pub had a great atmosphere and we enjoyed our evening.

Warm reception from the Excellent staff who went over and above to accommodate our needs.
We were running late after work and called the hotel to try and order some food, outside of kitchen opening hours, nothing was too much trouble.
They prepared a delicious freshly made meal and delicious is an understatement!
Thank you Ali and the team as well as compliments to the chef!

The service from staff was the most exceptional we have EVER had. Nothing was too much trouble. Outstanding.
For those on a budget, these cheap and cheerful hotels still have a lot to offer, with most offering WiFi and convenient locations. Popular with backpackers, many properties can be found in central locations and include comfortable rooms with private or shared bathrooms. You’ll also find a number of options which feature a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
The choice at breakfast is amazing and all presented so well. The house is old and beautifully appointed, the location in the heart of the countryside just fabulous, so tranquil and serene. Such a positive and uplifting place to be, for time out and recharging one’s batteries, but also well situated for exploring south Suffolk/Essex.
Beautiful property, very clean and tidy. Hosts were exceptional, gorgeous big room and ‘simple’ normal sized products in the room, which was great for me and my son. Nice touch to have bath foam in the room too. Fresh milk for morning coffee in bed was excellent.
The breakfast was beautiful, so tasty and a great choice.
Poplars Farmhouse exceeded our expectations. Location is peaceful with an abundance of wildlife to be seen in the garden. We stayed in the beamed room, which was spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Cooked breakfast was lovely, as was the selection of homemade jams and marmalade. We were welcomed back every day with hot drinks and homemade cake on offer. Our hosts, David and Paul have created something quite special and I would highly recommend to others wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
In a pretty location the gardens are beautiful very peaceful had a great night sleep. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Food in the pub very well presented staff friendly and helpful. This is my third visit over the last five years would I return definitely.
