The bed was sumptuous, the furnishings were of a very high quality, and there was a real sense of space. Superb connections to Durham. Shincliffe itself is beautiful with great coffee shops and pub.

Lovely B&B, beautifully decorated, good-sized rooms with en-suite. The breakfast was great (although served from 8 am onward), and the staff friendly and helpful. It is not a hotel, so the rooms are not cleaned during your stay (I stayed 4 nights). The location is great, within walking distance from the station and the city centre.

Great location for a weekend in Durham. Plenty of space, with a lovely garden. It was clean and tidy. Lots of bedrooms for a family or group of friends. Really lovely living room with comfortable sofas. It is great to have a separate dining table and space around it. Two parking spaces outside, which is helpful!
