Over Peover is ideal for exploring the area’s many attractions, including Tatton Park, which is just 15 minutes’ drive away. The Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre is just 2 miles from The Dog in Over Peover and the scenic Dunham Park is a 25-minute drive.

What a lovely, super dog friendly place, amazing staff, great food, comfy, spacious yet warm and cosy. Hospitality at its best. We were welcomed so warmly and treated so very well by all. The most enjoyable stay one could ask for. We were extremely well fed and watered with delicious food and cocktails by the most friendly, delightful staff. All our requests were accommodated with ease. Charlie dog had a fantastic time too, he had so much fuss and his very own treat made for him, they are sooooo dog friendly. The rooms were very warm and pleasant, I appreciated the pretty cups and saucers, real coffee etc. They also smell wonderful, seriously the nicest smelling room I've stayed in. Very comfortable beds. Nice furnishings. A nice clean bathroom with walk in shower and lovely soap that didn't make my skin react, for a change, much appreciated! Breakfast really was excellent as was the coffee. I cannot recommend this place enough. There are nice little touches everywhere that set it apart from the norm. But the staff here, they really are wonderful. A home from home but with far better food and hospitality!

The location was handy for our purposes but there was no mention of the difficulties exiting the premises on a Sunday due to the local car boot sale. It was cheap, but even so I expect better than a taper together door may and a hole in the bathroom floor.

Perfect location out of the city and ideal for my requirement to just carry out a very full days work schedule in Liverpool Central and then back to peace and quiet for a good nights sleep before leaving very early for home 200 miles away.

If you're a reasonable person & not really overly critical about a place that's pretty much "cheap" in this area ,then it's actually a decent place to stay. Staff were friendly, available & chatty. Honestly some people just have a huge expectation when they pay 50 quid for a room. Weighing everything up, price, location, (nearest to Capethorne Hall for instance) I'd definitely stay again.

The location is gorgeous, very peaceful and no noise from roads/traffic etc, just the occasional sheep. The room was spacious, double bed was comfortable and clean. Kitchenette was ideal for the basics (fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle etc) and the bathroom was perfectly serviceable. Parking available directly outside room which was very helpful as partner has mobility issues. Room as clean, smelled fresh and well aired. Staff were happy to accommodate our late arrival (11pm) We will definitely stay here again!
