The property has garden and inner courtyard views, and is 24 km from Trough of Bowland. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking.

We needed a place to stop for the night halfway through a long drive, and Picket Post House provided everything we could have wanted. The house itself is wonderful, with beautiful garden grounds. We splurged on the cooked breakfast, which was excellent, although the continental breakfast would have filled us up on its own. The hostess even went out of her way to find some gluten free bread for us. Highly recommended.

Have stayed here many times before, as the location is ideal to break a long journey to/from Scotland and the south of England. Car park is large and being a bit off the main road its a safe place to leave the car overnight. Grounds are well tended with a pleasant view over the golf course. Bed was comfortable and the bedding was clean, as were the towels. Shower worked ok and the temperature could be regulated. Wi-fi works OK but is an unsecured network. Staff are friendly and helpful and you actually feel sorry for them working here.

Lovely cozy little cottage, lovely location, we were in the area to watch the Great Eccleston tractor pulling. Pretty dog walks right on the doorstep, nice friendly neighbours. Very comfortable bed. Found everything we needed in the kitchen except a t-towel which is no big deal.
