Besides the very clean, hygienic and beautifully maintained house, the location was also very top.
Too bad it was no longer available during the return trip. We will definitely come back when we are in the area.

All you need to experience Sologne region in summer - house is located in nice, old village Salbris. There is nice swimming pool to refresh in hot summer day. Nice yard to relax and drink some vine in evening. A great location very easy to reach from the motorway. An imposing classic appearance reached via a tree-lined drive and extensive grounds to walk in including their own forest. Nice rooms and a fantastic restaurant, and a bar with a good range of drinks including two draft beers (Leffe Blonde and a local pale hoppy beer).
I stayed here in 2008, it’s still as good as before, having been refurbished about 5 years ago. It’s an ideal place to stop over en route to the south, about 6 hours from Calais and much less than that from Caen or St Malo.
Ideal location ,parking okay , Dinner & Service superb . Salbris is good village with lots of Logis hotels but this place is just fine for us and have been twice this year and will stay again some time when travelling between Yorkshire & Tarn Et Garonne .
The pool was great after a long drive, location super close to the motorway so ideal as a halfway stop. Staff all fine and dinner really was excellent, albeit pricey.
Easy to find, not far off the motorway. Quiet location. Free parking, excellent restaurant and bar which is a must for us after a long drive.
