Everything was fabulous - it's basically staying in a charming, grand French family house, not modern or over the top (but that doesn't matter and is the whole point of it), vast room, vast bathroom, fab views, lovely old fashioned dining room and comfy drawing room, real French home cooking, gardens where fruit and veg growing that appeared on the table for breakfast, rural area, lovely walks, towns, wine shops and really kind, exceptionally hard working host. Very dog friendly. Good wifi.

The hosts are super friendly, very helpful, and generous, as they welcomed us with a bottle of wine, and they are kind. The place is perfect for relaxation. We scheduled the room last minute and were very pleased with everything! The owner greeted us personally when we arrived and made us feel very welcome. An old priory nicely renovated in a peaceful country location, beautiful gardens with places to relax and wander. There is a pool available, but we didn't have time to use it. The breakfast was delicious. He even made us homemade pancakes. The owner definitely cares about everything, especially the gardens. We wished we could have stayed longer than one night.

To be fair: I did not actually stay at this hotel. I booked the room for my daughter who was travelling through the region. She is a single female travelling alone. Her comments were that the staff was very friendly and helpful. She needed assistance booking some taxi's and they were very knowledgeable. The room was clean, spacious and quiet. The location as perfect for her travel purposes. And she sent me a photo of the breakfast that she through was great. She felt safe and comfortable.

The breakfast served was continental with a couple of extras: cheese, cake, yaourt and fruits as well as baguette and croissants and homemade jams ( delicious). Very nice welcome. The host replied promptly when we had to tell her that we might be late due to car issues. The room was spacious, there was a fridge at our disposal, the flowery courtyard had seating and… it was totally peaceful and quiet. You can distinctly hear the birds sing in the early morning. No need to close the window. A delight!
