The hosts were wonderful, so friendly and really seemed to care about our stay - they couldn’t do enough for us.
The breakfast was great, the hosts setup you up in a lovey little room with pastries, yoghurts, fresh fruit, muesli, fresh juices, jams, honey, tea and coffee. They always asked if there were any personal things we’d like and whilst we were happy with the selection we’re sure they’d have made a point of getting whatever we asked for!
We stayed in a room in the private house but we were also shown the gites which were vary spacious and looked great for families.
The local village was quite sleepy but it had a boulangerie and cafe so you could get essentials.

The location was perfect for us. Breakfast was really good, plenty of choice and delicious home made preserves too. Our room was comfortable, the shower was great and we had a beautiful view from our room. John and Jane were very warm and welcoming hosts, they speak very good French and nothing was too much trouble for them. They have created a lovely chambre d'hote with a real focus on making their guests feel comfortable.

Tia was an excellent host, her food was both plentiful and delicious. We had a very interesting conversion, a very enjoyable time.
For those on a budget, these cheap and cheerful hotels still have a lot to offer, with most offering WiFi and convenient locations. Popular with backpackers, many properties can be found in central locations and include comfortable rooms with private or shared bathrooms. You’ll also find a number of options which feature a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
The property was well located for our needs with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The welcome pack was lovely & much appreciated. Contact with the owners was very positive & a small issue we had was dealt with swiftly. The complex of 3 gites is great for a large family who would prefer separate accommodation. Great little bar/shop in the village too.
Nancy is a brilliant host, very informative, fast to respond and help with any queries. Check-in is keyless and details will be sent prior to check in which makes the process stress free. The property has all the amenities you might need and is a cosy home from home.
We have extended our stay from 3 days to 11 as it’s the perfect location and has everything you might need.

Marvellous time spent in this lovely Gîte! Helpful friendly owners, delightful location a very pretty village. Enjoyed using walnuts in my cooking from one of the trees in the garden. Comfortable Gîte with everything you need for an enjoyable holiday. High speed wifi, clean modern bathroom, hair dryer provided which my wife appreciated. The owners have thought about everything, including watching a dvd or reading a book, both provided in English & French. I recommend A stay here, and I will definitely return
We needed somewhere affordable and within driving distance of a property we were buying as a second home. This property was ideal for us. It also gave our teenage son his space and of course WiFi.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property to friends and family. Plenty to see and do in the area including the beautiful town of Confolens. The owners were both very helpful and welcoming.
