And you'll get a very good breakfast - which you can enjoy on your own private terrace. Ay and Epernay are very close and the place is in the middle of the vineyards. We were lucky to book a room at the last minute in this beautiful manor. The proprietess was enthusiastic and so helpful. The beauty of the dining room and view actually brought tears to my eyes. I thought I had died and gone to Jane Austen heaven! Our room was huge and overlooked the yard, a small pond with trees, the vineyards and valley. We were served a lovely, substantial breakfast outdoors the first morning and inside the dining room the second morning. We couldn't have asked for a more lovely location or attentive staff. We will definitely make a return trip!

This is a darling historic property, tastefully updated and very comfortable. The location is wonderful, within walking distance to several champagne cellars and restaurants, in the charming village of Ay. The proprietor, Corinne, is an absolute delight and very knowledgeable. Breakfast was very French and delicious.
