The place is very big and clean and all the facilities that you need are there. We wanted to use a grill and it was supplied within minutes together with the coal. The village it is situated in is very small and in the night silent. In daytime their is a road directly in front of the house, but you can't hear a thing.

Very friendly and helpful hosts who kindly accommodated our booking at short notice. I felt at home immediately. Very well equipped kitchen. All bedrooms are a good size. Wifi is good. Location is peaceful, in a village outside Fritzlar. 5 minute drive to the drive-in bakery.

It was 30+ degrees outside but the rooms were lovely and cool. Keys are obtained via a keysafe - you ring the number provided on arrival. I was half way through dialing when I received a call from the landlord who talked me through the key procedure which was very straight forward. There's a shared fridge in the lobby which was very useful in the hot weather. The property is a bit out of town, we got a taxi in which cost us 7 euros to the town centre. The taxi firms did not speak good english which made it a bit tricky, but we enlisted the help of another resident the first time who spoke fluent German and English (Thank you!) The property has newly been renamed so isn't widely known by "Herr Berge" but by an older name which I have forgotten. Some info on this sort of thing in a welcome pack would be very useful. There is no kettle in the rooms or on site that we could see, this wasn't a problem for us as we had facilities in our van but may wish to be noted for other residents. On the second night we were having a drink and meal in town and met our landlord and his wife, who was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us a lot of great info. There is much to do and see in the surrounding area, we hope to visit again.
