This hotel is a little gem and a delight from the moment you walk through the door. ALL the staff were so kind, helpful, friendly, warm and welcoming and so very efficient, especially as we spoke no German. All drinks and meals were of great quality and the cocktail maker on Saturday evening was a joy to watch. The ladies who cleaned the rooms were like little fairy’s who came when you weren’t looking and made sure our room was clean and comfortable for our 3 day stay. We also had two Christmas trees sparkling on our balcony. It’s a perfect place to stay in the snow in December and we hope to return one day.

Great breakfast (they even had gluten-free and dairy-free options). The furniture and décor is traditional/old, but that's the style of the hotel. Everything was clean, room was a good size, everything you need in the bathroom. For the price, it exceeded our expectations.

Come and stay in this unique and beautiful timber-framed hotel. This listed building was a traditional barn, which was then renovated to become a picture-perfect hotel, preserving a natural sense of rural charm. After having been used as a retreat for artists since the end of the 19th century, the hotel now features its own art school in the restaurant section of the hotel.
