We felt very comfort being there, an exile with the right environment to do so. Everything was complete and we moved in that apartment feeling homey and relaxed. The hotel was plain but all the important things were very satisfactory - the rooms were extremely spacious, clean and the beds comfortable. It was quite a large facility with a few different buildings but they were all connected through an underground corridor, and it was nice being able to walk to the sauna / spa without needing to go outside. Breakfast was a generous continental buffet. Parking was easy.

The breakfast was delicious, varied, & more than enough. Frau Dold even offered to wrap up my leftover Brötchen & other items so I could take them with me. The room I stayed in was clean, quiet, & comfortable. For anyone not used to staying in a room with a shared bath, you would be more than satisfied with the set-up at Haus Gerlinde as the separate shower and separate toilet are so close to the guest bedrooms all located on one lower hallway. Mr. & Mrs. Dold are very gracious hosts & simply delightful people!
