Home From Home guest house has 3 bedrooms which are available for booking and each bedroom has air conditioning and includes a private attached bathroom with hot and cold water shower facilities. Towels and bed linen are included. I could not be happier with the choice to stay here for a little over two weeks as I got my bearings back in Sri Lanka at the start of a long trip for research and work. Sameera has been extraordinarily hospitable, kind, and attentive. More than this, however, he has become my friend. Most nights we hang out on the beautiful deck he has built, drinking a few beers and watching the sun set while sharing stories about our lives and families. I've met many of his local friends, too, and through my time here have come to feel not only completely welcome, but like I belong. If you want a really comfortable place to stay, with well-maintained facilities, consider staying here. But if you want to really get to know folks in the local community and build meaningful connections and amazing memories, DEFINITELY, this is the place for you. I'll be back, for sure.

Despite our very late arrival from an international flight, we were warmly greeted at the front door and we slept so well in the super comfortable bed. The staff are very considerate and can't do enough to make sure you have everything you need for your stay. Breakfast is delicious and extensive, and they kindly catered for my plant based dietary needs. At the end of each hot day, the very clean pool was a treat to return to and refresh before dinner at a locally recommended restaurant. There is plenty of hot water and good shower pressure, very effective wi-fi connection in our room and they provided fantastic suggestions for getting to know the city. Most areas are walkable, if you don't mind the heat, or short tuktuk rides away. We are staying again on our departure from Sri lanka, and are very much looking forward to returning to Colombo Villa.
