I’m terrible with names, but I especially appreciate the waiter who helped us who was originally from Nepal. There was also an older gentleman who made origami for our kids, but every person we me was super kind and genuine. It was also good that many of the staff spoke good English as my Japanese is very limited.

We’re from Canada and I brought my Brazilian roomie with me to visit my home country. I truly liked the hot spring and how it’s not a “too touristy” location. We were there in the holiday season but because it’s a hidden jem Ryokan, we were able to have both the “daiyokujo” and “Roten buro” all to ourselves (we did go late at night and early morning). They also have 24h ashiyu (foot hot tub) which was super awesome. I had beer while planning for the next day and just chilled there all by myself for an hr.
