It was so nice to finish a full day at the Wall then just walk back to this place which was warm, cozy and had great tea. The kids loved it and we felt right at home from the minute we walked in. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and clean. The bed was large and comfortable. It was chilly during our stay but the heat in the villa worked well. They provided a beautiful breakfast for us and a delicious treat when we returned from the water town! Ellie spoke English and helped us navigate our entire stay in Simatai/ Gubei. She provided suggestions and helped organize tickets and transportation to take us from Simatai to Gubei. We would absolutely recommend this villa to anyone looking for an authentic and personalized experience!

Nice space clean and good size bathroom. The owner was super kind and helpful. The food was delicious. They have good selection of delicious meals. Their meal menu includes various meals from Chinese to western. 3rd floor roof top has a great view of the great wall of China. The most impressive thing was the owner's thoughtful and kind help for our journey to the wall. He even guided us to the wall entrance about a few minutes away and bought tickets cheaply than the Website. I definitely go back again.

It is situated 19 km from Hongluo Temple and features a housekeeping service. The farm stay has family rooms. Loved our stay there. The location was excellent. The village peaceful, charming and clean. The people really nice. The hosts took us to the ticket office of Great wall and came to pick us up- we also arranged with them the transportation to airport going back. They were really adorable and sweet. Highly recommended - as mentioned in the other posts, language was not a real issue. We all managed to communicate and had an incredible stay. We loved the open space concept of the place. Made you feel as part of the family.

Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. The hosts were super hospitable, warm and friendly. The owner came to Beijing Airport to pick me up and brought me safely to their home. It felt like a homestay with home cooked breakfast. The breakfast was sumptuous, and had this very homestyle feel. The location is just six minutes away from the Gubei Watertown and Simatai Great Wall. I wanted to see the Great Wall at night so I chose to stay here. The owner drove me to Gubei Watertown and back to the hotel so transportation was fine and good. Wifi was fine and the bed was huge. Again, the owners were so kind and friendly. I felt like a VIP.
