I stayed in the 'King Room with Mountain View'. I originally only booked one night, but ended up staying for four nights in total.
Room - Clean, well-decorated and with lots of natural light. The bed was very comfortable and I always slept very well.
Location - What a view! Wow. You can never get tired of that view. It was great to sit on the balcony and admire the mountains in the distance.
Breakfast - There were numerous options available, varying day by day and all prepared with care in the kitchen. Very importantly, the coffee was decent.
Staff - Polite, friendly and helpful.

Nicely decorated a lot of attention spent making this a comfortable and memorable stay. Tastefully decorated with both old and new. Truly a worthwhile visit to come experience this wonderfully rustic and authentic Vietnamese place and community.
Delicious dinner offered, along basic breakfast daily with all you want coffee, teas, and filtered water for refilling your personal bottle. The host Lim was friendly and helpful.
Just wishes personal credit cards were accepted for payment at checkout. Good value for the money.

Amazing place! I highly recommend staying at Hakuna Mata. Vinh is an amazing host and truly cares about her visitors. She even cooked a special meal for the Israeli guests that were staying here and it was delicious.
I got food poisoning from another restaurant in town, and had to extend my stay to recover. Vinh went to the pharmacy to get electrolytes for me, and she cooked a special chicken soup. I am very grateful for her hospitality and have loved my time staying here. The bed is comfortable, the rooms are clean, the bathrooms smell good, and there is tea and coffee all day. Mai Chau is a beautiful little town with a lot to explore. If you visit Mai Chau, choose Hakuna Mata.

Very nice spot at the beginning of the main street in Mai Chau. Located at a small lake in the middle of rice fields and close to nearby villages such as Lac Village, Mai Chau Lodge is a great place to stay at in one of the most beautiful places on earth
This property was in a lovely setting with a picturesque view and in a good location to cycle about to neighbouring Lac village and town. We really enjoyed the large pool that look over the rice fields & mountains.
The views were fantastic, the place is interestingly designed. The host was great and the breakfast they prepared was delicious. The beds are a bit hard but that seems do be the norm in Vietnam countryside. . You can also use their bikes to explore the nearby villages.
There are many homestays in Mai Chau but we were very happy to have chosen this one. It's in an idyllic spot on the edge of the village next to the rice paddies and a fish pond. , very lush and tropical. Our host was very friendly, informative and speaks great English and offers to guide various local treks, though there are plenty of walks you can do yourselves. All the food was fantastic and we took a cooking class while there with the host's wife , a trained chef.

From the time I entered the reception until the time I left, I had a fantastic experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The whole resort was looked after well and my room was very clean. The complimentary gifts in the room were unusual but a great addition. The bed was the comfiest bed I think I have ever slept on. There were free bikes which you could use to visit the nearby villages and to ride around the rice fields. The breakfast had a lot of Vietnamese and Western dishes to choose from.
This was one of my best stays in Vietnam. Everything was nice, rustically decorated. Lim's house is in the middle of village, where you can get to know how the locals live. The dinner and breakfast were fabulous. It was nice to chat with Lim and get to know other guests.
Feels like home. The family of the owner who has a home stay beside are so accommodating and lovely. We are always having our dinner with the family from the next house. There’ s this lovely lady every morning who always gives us fruit and gives us a positive vibes and always trying to help us even if we only have our conversation in Google translate.
The next time I will be in Mai chau , I will stay here again or the next house’s homestay( Mai Chau Home Holiday Homestay ) which is there family as well.
