The small village is really nice and quiet. People in the village are polite and smiling. The staff at Schmidt House is helpful and nice. Check-in and check-out are later than mentioned on Booking. We chose a room on the ground floor, facing the street. Really nice decorated, all vintage and dressed up with good taste. The bathroom is very generous, well equipped and facing the courtyard. Bed is really comfortable and the room was chilly enough, though outside it was quite hot during the noon. The restaurant is 5-10 minutes walk, near the old church. Breakfast was good and offering a wide range of cheese and local ham, vegetables, eggs, local jam, fresh juice, coffee and home made bread. Lunch and dinner are limited, but really tasty and made with local products. Good wine range in the menu and beautiful landscapes on the terrace. We really enjoyed spending the weekend there. Rupea and Viscri are really close and deserve a visit.

Bogdan was an incredibly welcoming host. He came to pick us up from the nearest station with a friend, and also helped us to arrange our onward travel. He also gave us great recommendations of where to eat. The room was beautifully decorated, very clean, and had a lovely view of the garden. Breakfast was served in the garden and was delicious. Viscri is a charming village. We stayed two nights but should have booked to stay for longer!

Rustic charm in a lovely old saxon village. Off the main road, but accessible and good striking distance to other historic sites. We arrived at dinner time and asked in advance for a meal to be prepared. The food was excellent. Kids enjoyed the cats.

It is an accomodation in an old country side saxon residence. They have renovated but kept as much as possible everything as it was.
Saxon house, in the middle of the village, and close to the church. It has everything necessary for a family with kids. Nice and quiet location, with endless options easily accessible: Via Transilvanica, Mesendorf, Viscri, Sighisoara, bike trails etc.
Very nice experience in Transylvanian village. The hosts are very helpful and hospitable, they met us with some homemade bread and drink. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is great, on the way from Sigisoara to Brasov.
Exceptional stay! Museum quality farm artifacts on display. Gated traditional farm with chickens, turkeys, a peacock, donkeys, horses, sheep, and rabbits to view. Excellent breakfast. Next door to a fortified church. In a small village where you can walk around and view village life.
It s a beautifull quiet place close to the famous Viscrii village. The perfect spot if you want to enjoy the country side of Romania. The house has cottage style furniture but eith modern bathroom. We enjoyed it so much will make it a habbit to go every year. If you wantto relax this is the best place for you.
