João was a charming and gracious host. The house was beautiful, very well appointed, clean and comfortable. Literally next to one of the pedestrian gates to the castle. Close enough to all it has to offer but so quiet, with lovely views across the surrounding farmland.

The house is amazing. We stayed only 2 nights and we had a very full agenda, so we used it only to sleep. But it is really fully furnished to be enjoyed on longer time, with plenty of attention from the owner to his visitors. There are 2 complete bathrooms, downstairs and upstairs. The kitchen has anything you can need, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine and all. All products (soaps and coffee capsules) are available. The owner offered us also a small emergency kit (bread, butter, etc) to let us feel comfortable. And he prepared few toys and books for the kids to play with, who were really over the moon.
He also gave us a lot of suggestions, which we could not follow all because we were already busy with friends living in the area as well, but based on the little we did, his recommendation were great. We arrived quite late, at about 1900, so when we asked for a restaurant he booked for us the restaurant where his father works. It couldn’t be better!
Really, if you want to visit the area, stay at this place, you won’t regret at all!

Clean and spacious. The shower was huge. Plenty of pots and pans to cook with and the village shop was small but well stocked. The local social club was very welcoming and didn’t amazingly good quality burgers. Worth a visit if you don’t want to cook.

Vera and lady who served breakfast were very friendly, welcoming and went miles to make your stay enjoyable. Rooms are nice decorated,beds were really comfy .
Casa Do Relogio is very well located and there are lots of restaurants and bars in walling distance.

I loved the minimal and modern decor, furnishings and lighting. A very warm inviting cozy place. The kitchen was very cute and I appreciated the detail of stylish silverware and mugs. Great communication with host. Inspiring location in view of castle and on a small winding village street. It was quiet.
The 2 bed holiday home is beautiful. Old features. Very central location, we enjoyed watching the tourists walk below. We had a relaxing stay. Comfortable bed, though no fan / AC so a bit hot. Well equipped kitchen (no oil / salt though). Other rooms are upstairs but guests were quiet after 11pm. There is a large free car park just outside the walls.
