On the North side of Madeira, I sought out this lodging because I believed it would be quiet and beautiful, which it certainly was. In addition, the host Viriato was incredibly kind and responsive, with personalized recommendations and a connection to the lived life of the island. The cottages are nicely renovated old homes, both charming and comfortable which is my ideal in a stay away from home. The gardens and outside areas surrounding the cottage are expertly crafted places for taking in the sights and sounds of the ocean. There are several roads and paths where you can walk directly to the beachfront, and parking is easy if you brave the mountainous roads of Madeira. I Highly recommended!

The location is very beautiful, cozy and welcoming. There is a lot of flora around and the perfume of the roses is delightful. Cozy and spacious room. Rich and delicious breakfast. Very nice and helpful staff.

Lovely quaint and rustic little bungalow, ours was at the and and was surrounded by plants, trees, gardens, beautiful, it had a picnic bench on top of cliffs, the bed was comfy, fresh bread and eggs were provided each day for breakfast and the room serviced daily which was lovely, the bed was comfy. The communal pool was nice with a fantastic views of coastline, the whole place had a happy, chilled vibe and we completely fell for its charms, very much hope to return in the future...

Absolutely loved our stay in this little house. It was the perfect base for exploring the island, in such tranquil surroundings this home provided us all of the amenities needed for a self catering trip. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware which was great for whipping up breads and guacamole made with the lovely fresh produce provided by the kind hosts. I would 100% come back here again. Perfect for solo travellers as it’s cheap and perfect for large groups. Everything you need was there. There was a problem with the hot water but after only 5 minutes, it was fixed. 10/10

Everything was perfect. Nice and clean with everything you need. Maybe for longer stays you’ll feel the lack of a washing machine, but for our 5 nights stay we didn’t need it. The fact that there was coffee was just the cherry on top. The host was replying really fast to our messages. Fast as in instant.
