We arrived in the dark, which was a little tricky given this place is kind of in the middle of nowhere. But they helped us in and fed us a wonderful dinner and dessert. Our pod was super warm and cozy despite it being in the 30s outside! Loved being able to see the animals in the morning, and getting to feed them.
Mangaweka (Near Ruahine)
Awastone is situated just outside of Mangaweka, along the Rangitikei River. It includes a shared kitchen, bar, sun terrace and a restaurant, open on the weekends. Both WiFi and private parking are provided, free of charge.
