Quiet, historical location allows you to watch the operation of the locks. Having a restaurant on site was a big plus. We had a lovely dinner on the porch, and the breakfast the next morning was just fine. This was good for a one-night stay, but probably wouldn't want to stay longer than that. Location was great to get to Ulefoss or Lunde to go for a canal boat cruise.

The house worked good for our purposes. We were 4 adults and slept comfortably. It definitely has old charm. Would be nice to have a mirror outside the bathroom to help with more people getting ready at one time. There were several mouse traps sprung around the house but no mice so they did there job!!

The apartment was just perfect - it had everything required for a self-catering stay and some extras (like scrabble), it was quiet and comfortable. One could really feel home immediately after arrival. The place is easy to reach. The host was easy to contact and helpful. With a beach within a walking distance, Telemark canal and other attractions nearby, and nice view of the lake Norsjø right from the doors, you will want to stay there for longer - be it a holiday or a business trip.
