We had a great time! The location is great: the flat is right on the harbour in a beautiful quiet village, yet only half an hour from Amsterdam by bus. The flat was clean, had everything one needs, and the hosts were friendly.
We loved this beautiful holiday home right on the riverside. Our hosts were really helpful when we arrived and the apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Monnickendam is very pretty with lovely places to eat and perfectly located for a trip to Amsterdam which we did on the bus in 30 mins. We explored Volhendam, Edam and Marken by bike. Fabulous stay would 100% recommend. Thanks Joke and Peter 😍
Being out of the city in this quaint fishing port Waa amazing. There were so many villages to walk to, bike to or take a bus. The location was so good. The bus took us to the city in about 10 minutes.

Very cozy and beautiful room with a great view ! Bed is big and comfortable. The bar in the evening was great and the hosts are very very nice and welcoming. Monnickendam is a cute and unique village. We enjoyed our stay a lot !
Everything was up to my expectation, Harry, the owner met us on arrival, handed the key to us and provided quick introduction as to how we use the facilities within the accommodation. There was an information folder written in multiple languages covering everything including how to arrange for medical emergency service or getting a taxi. The accommodation was very clean and has everything we looked for. The village location was amazing.
It was a lovely little hotel just outside Amsterdam in a small quiet but picturesque village, the people were so friendly. The hotel itself was very nice and had everything you needed with a very large bathroom, with Internet TV plus a large bed and a mini fridge. Nearest shop was about 5 minutes away and same with the nearest bus
Property is in the old centre of this beautiful and interesting fishing village, but is an easy bus ride into central Amsterdam. Or you can drive to the P and R to Metro in. Walking distance to restaurants and to a good sized supermarket.
Our host was so helpful - we asked if there was an iron / ironing board as we were going to a wedding in Amsterdam whilst there and wanted to look smart - and he bought one specially for us.
Very beautiful and calm location not far away from Amsterdam. Nice small village, very friendly, nice bars. Regarding the apartment although its small it has everything you need. The owners were very friendly and helpful.
The apartment is nicely decorated, the beds are comfortable.
There is a fridge, stovetop and microwave, everything is clean.
From the photos I thought the apartment would be dark, but it was not the case, there is lots of natural light!
Perhaps the owner should submit new photos as they don't do the property justice.
The little village is very pictoresque, I wish we could have stayed longer!
