The Polderlodge is about 20 km from Amsterdam city centre. We chose this accommodation for price and for tranquility. The city hotels are very expensive and also probably noisy. Despite the distance, it is not so hard to get to Polderlodge by public transport. We got a 3-day travel pass at the airport, which cost about 40 euros per person for 3 days. The taxi to Polderlodge costs around 75 euros. The trip by public transport is via Centraal then by train to Haarlem (frequent trains, some express) then bus number 50 (we had to pay 9.95 euros for day return tickets as it's outside the main transport network). You get off at BethlehemLaan stop and then it's about 10 minutes walk along the lane, which is alongside a canal. It's a really lovely spot. The rooms are great and you can cook meals and prepare lunch to save money before you head into town. Haarlem also has plenty of restaurants and is quite an interesting spot in itself.

Hortense was such a lovely host! The little touches of the bottle of wine, cookies, and excellent communication went a long way to ensuring our stay in Zandvoort was extra special. They even posted some clothes I had left behind. The studio itself was very cosy, nicely decorated and had a great outdoor area. Would love to stay here again.

I was travelling from a holiday with my family to a work conference the next day and needed a stay close to Amsterdam for one night. Fantastic rural location but only 10 minutes from airport and 35 minutes from Amsterdam Centre. The rooms are not just spacious, they are huge. Judith, the owner, is very friendly, multi-lingual, flexible and helpful. Considering the hotel prices in Amsterdam during big events, this is a viable solution, which we will consider. It definitely exceeded our expectations.

Our stay in Zandvoort in the bungalow of Iny and André was great! We were warmly welcomed and there were plenty of lovingly prepared snacks. The bungalow with its pool was ideal for us as a family with child and dog. The nearby dunes with freewheeling for our dog were great.
The hospitality of Iny and André was extraordinary, every day we got delicious snacks and supplies for breakfast.
We will come back and say thank you!
The hotel staff were very friendly. 😊 Facilities were perfect for a 3 night stay for 3 people. Restaurant had a nice & simple breakfast perfect to start a sightseeing day. Dinner was amazing, can't recommend enough the Flora's steak. We had it 2 nights in a row 🫣
Hotel is easy commute to Amsterdam & Keukenhof gardens (our destination). The village is cosy and sweet.
We had a VERY pleasant stay!
Thank you to all involved.
We were looking for accommodation within driving distance of Schiphol Airport. Hillegom and Hotel Villa Flora are hidden gems. The Hotel Villa Flora is a historic hotel that serves your every need. Hillegom has a number of excellent restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
It was our third time at this beautiful place and it is still as unique as it used to be.
Paradijs Eiland is a great vacation house. Here you can feel the natural tranquillity of the Netherlands.
The apartment is located in a small village, with a parking at 100 meters and at 4 minutes by car from the train station. The host is very cool. We checked in earlier than we were supposed to. Would recommend. Thank you, Boy, for your hospitality. Cheer's.
I am very satisfied with my stay at Villa Flora. In particular, I liked the friendliness of the hotel staff as well as the very nice and warm restaurant. I would highly recommend staying at Villa Flora
Stayed at Hotel Villa Flora for one night to be close to Keukenhof. It had its own parking which was very small, for 10 cars maybe. And we were lucky to arrive at the time someone was leaving so we took their space (kojak!). Beds were somewhat comfy, meeting a 3* hotel rating.
