As fresh as a daisy. The staff and service provided were top noch. Sri lankan hospitality at its finest. With attention and care given to every detail, but not in an intrusive way. All requests were met with a smile. Villa was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Most amazing was the convenience of lovely sunrise at the beach in front of Villa, sunset views and very quiet place. I stayed here for 1 night because the place I initially wanted to go was fully booked. I enjoyed my stay at Baywatch so much that I came back here! The people are really friendly and helpful. I was welcomed with a delicious welcome drink and they also serve a nice juice and omelette for breakfast. The room is simple but offers everything I need. The shower is really good (note that it’s cold, but I think in Arugam bay all showers are cold since that’s all you want with all the heat outside). They have a mosquito net and some rooms with AC and some with fan. Every room has a cute little terrace with seats overlooking the main garden area. Location is also perfect, close to the main street and the beach. Overall perfect stay!

Great location close to Main Street and the beach which is very helpful as getting tuk tuk out of the main area can be somewhat overwhelming. Quiet area close to amazing cafe (Shady Lane) and dinner spot (Emily’s). Theepan is very accomodating, helpful and welcoming - always responded promptly to any requests. Couldn’t recommend Hilltop House enough!

We loved staying at the Jungle House! The room and the bathroom were very clean and beds were made almost every day. Bins were also emptied. The guesthouse has a very nice and aesthetic vibe and Laura is an amazing host! She was always happy to help us with questions and recommendations for the area. She also sells big (18 L) bottles of water for a good price (800 LKR) which was very convenient! The Jungle House is about 200m away from the main road, thus a little more quiet, but you can still walk everywhere. The room also came with a little kitchenette and kettle on the balcony and a fridge in the room. After having done extensive research on where to stay in ABay, we can confidently say that we found the best place! The cute cats living on the property are the cherry on the cake!
