The person that handles the property is amazing, struggling a little bit with the English but he will definitely try to help you with your questions. The food is amazing as well and the restaurant is on the river, perfect for enjoying a nice breakfast!

Perfect guesthouse for a cozy stay. We appreciated the large room and the private veranda. The view from the verandah over the Mekong is simply fantastic. We would have liked to stay much longer. The accommodation is quiet and clean. The location is perfect: in the quiet part and yet not far from restaurants. It is possible to book tickets for onward travel. Boats pick you up directly from the guesthouse.

We had a wonderful time at Tan's place. He is an amazing host, and the bungalow is overlooking the Mekong. There's plenty to do for people who love nature. The accommodation is super simple yet comfortable and clean. There is a partner restaurant nearby with a great view and the food is yummy! We got to know Tan, and he has many stories to tell; lots of laughs and interesting facts about the area. Coffee and breakfast is 'absolutely amazing' and SUNSET is phenomenal! <3

I’ve loved everything about this stay. The peace at Pomelo is unmatched, the staff is beyond nice. food was great, the room was perfectly clean and so beautiful. I can not recommend enough, looking forward to go back:)

I stayed at the Hotel lao long riverside guesthouse for two nights and had lunch at their restaurant on the first night. The hotel was spacious and elegant, with a friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and comfortable, with a stunning view of the city 🥰🙏 Owner and staff everyone was very friendly and helpful This was one of the best hotel and restaurant experiences I have ever had, and I would love to come back again.

A very nice family run guest house right next to the Mekong with a view from the poolside deck downstream to the old French railway bridge. Our room was at the front facing the river and had a nice balcony with a small table and deck chairs. The large pool was kept clean the entire time we were there. The owner was warm and welcoming and has good English so was able to help with enquiries and onward bookings. She also produced delicious inexpensive home cooked Lao meals and had a good supply of essentials such as cold beer. This is really good value accommodation, not luxury, but perfectly comfortable and everything you need. We were booked to stay 3 nights but ended up staying 6. Highly recommended.

This place stole my heart. Located on the sunrise side of Dondet, it’s the place where to relax and recharge. The room is clean and spacious, same goes for the bathroom. The terrace of the bungalow offers a lovely view directly on the Mekong river. Wifi is fast and stable, I could work and have online meetings without any issue (40/50 mbps). The family who owns the bungalows also owns the restaurant right in front. They are extremely friendly and willing to help for anything you may need. Laundry service is offered for 15k per kilo. The area is quiet — just few restaurants around. Across the bridge you can rent a bicycle for 15k per day. This area is about 30 minutes baking from the sunset side of the island. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and will also definitely come back!
