The host (Hitty) was there in person to welcome us and to provide info on the house and on Kanazawa. He has been extremely kind and available, and we felt as we were guests in a friend's home.
The house is wonderful and full of history having been the house of a samurai (as Hitty explained us) but is also well equipped, well kept and clean.
Highly recommended, for sure the best and the most welcoming host I have met in several years.

This property was the most comfortable and traditonal place we stayed on our trip to Japan. The house itself was an attraction, we didn't want to leave! The traditional tatami rooms, zen garden and decor were beautiful and made the property feel really cozy. I wish we were able to stay longer. The host Michio was wonderful, and even picked us up from the train station (which was good considering how hot it was!) The location is wonderful, close to the Omicho Market and Kanazawa Castle.

The flat was all on one floor and our family of 5 fitted in nicely. It’s 10 minutes walk from the station , so convenient to get to and there are plenty of restaurants in the area.
It rained all day, on one of the days we were there and it was great that there were complimentary, large umbrellas to use. There is a large table and cooking facilities, if you need them.

It was like a private home extremely well stocked kitchen and replacement items like toilet paper, detergent, tissues etc.
Even though it was a self-check in, management was only a phone call away. They helped with any minor issues and kindly ordered us a taxi for our departure.
