Amazing peaceful private property and views. Exactly as in photos. Great for our family needs (we were at two adjacent apartments on the ground floor with direct access to the terrace and pool). Well equipped. Alizee was the most helpful property manager and helped us with local recommendations, a minor emergency and much more. Wil go back if we can.
The beds were good but might be too soft if you're used to a harder mattress. Good hot water and pressure in shower. Excellent washing machine (no dryer) and dishwasher. Wi-fi in the basement level spotty but great elsewhere in apartment.
Onno is a cute village with a few cafes and casual restaurants. the coffee shops open very early and have some provisions. The nearest grocery is one village over - 7 minutes drive from the apartment. 15 minutes or so to Bellagio. 40 minutes or so to Como.

This place is amazing. First of all, there are views of Lake Como from every room. Lay in bed and look at the lake. There is a little balcony just big enough for a couple of chairs and a table where you can enjoy a drink. There is 1 very manageable flight of stairs from the street. The interior is homey, cute, and has a fascinating collection of antiques. It is roomy for a vacation rental so our family of 4 could eat at the table, all sit in the living room and even go off to the bedroom to sit in a comfy chair and read a book. I want to take the refrigerator home with me. There is a grocery store just steps away. Have a coffee with the locals also just steps away. Explore Nesso which IMHO is as charming and picturesque as Cinque Terre but without a gazillion people and tacky souvenir shops. What really set this place apart is Cinzia who runs the place. She has thought of everything and there are lovely personal touches everywhere. I would start by mentioning she actually will meet you when you arrive and give you a 15 min tour of her place, explaining how everything works. How many times have we arrived at a vacation rental and had to struggle to even find the lock box, or open the lock box or get the stove to turn on. So many vacation rentals are impersonal, filled with cheap icky furnishings and run by some corporation that only cares about maximizing profits. Here, you are supporting a hard working family that puts their heart and sole into their business.

I had one memorable, amazing night in the Essentia Guest House. It was gorgeous. Tucked up in the mountains, it is part of the fun getting up to the property. Once there, it's a peaceful, family-run oasis overlooking the lake. The hosts are wonderfully friendly and accommodating, and their meal offerings make you feel truly like houseguests rather than travelers. I loved it and wish I could have stayed longer!

If you're looking for a home away from home instead of just another hotel - this is it. The place is wonderfully decorated, the host is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet and super helpful even with the language barrier. After the bustling Como and other tourist favored towns, it is a pleasure to come back to the calm Albavilla and stay at Heidi bed and breakfast.

Michaela, the owner, is one incredible woman. She did everything she could (and more) to make us feel welcome and comfortable. She truly loves her job and put her heart into her home and for her guests.
A great location to explore Lake Como and the surroundings! Only 20 minutes from Como with a car. Her B&B is located on the top of a small village, with unimaginable views from every window. The rooms are well equipped with everything a family could need (including a full kitchen, balcony). No air conditioner, but Michaela brought us a fan when we requested. Our room was spotless! And don't even get me started on the incredible homemade breakfast... it changes every morning, and includes a variety of delicious food. There's a very comfortable private parking for the guests in the village center (no ZTL in the area, don't worry), and Michaela kept our luggage from when we checked out until we came back to pick them up before going to the airport.
Michaela, thank you so much for your hospitality. Staying at your place is not something we will forget anytime soon.

Excellent Italian style apartments in a authentic Italian village. An excellent starting point for visiting many places on Lake Como, and you can also visit Switzerland.
The property is in a small village. Reaching the property is in itself a challenge in a good way. This is a small village with such narrow streets that it may be intimidating at first to drive. The village is on the mountains, very peaceful and the nature is amazing, around 30 minutes drive to Bellagio and a bit more to Como. The apartment was very spacious, clean, with pretty much everything you need, a decent breakfast and Mara was very responsive. Self check in and the ingredients for the breakfast already in the kitchen of the flat for you to use. Both days we were able to find parking 1 minute away from the building as per Maria's instructions. Grazie mille😀 highly recommend!
This is a great apartment, good location, quiet area in a small and very cute village. It was a perfect stay for our night while hiking The Dorsale (a little further to the trail head than expected, but still worth it!). Mara is very responsive, lovely and resourceful! The apartment was clean, easy to find and to access. Confortable with everything you need in the kitchen. The breakfast offered by Mara is just perfect: homemade cake, yogourt, cookies, toasts, water and juices.
