As the daughter of the family told me arriving in the dark: It is exactly like on the pictures. It REALLY is! The place is as remote as I expected it to be in a very beautiful natural surrounding. The people are very open minded and like to try out new things. There is a river about 5 minutes walk close by that is deep and wide enough to swim rows. Even the children speak an excellent english. The food is really good. Don't miss out to play badminton or other games. It is fun. If you want a very welcoming, natural, inspiring place come here. I wanted to stay 8 days - I extended my stay two times.

We had a family wedding and used the Tharavad house to stay for 4 nights. The property is clean, and the host Mr. Sharath was friendly and helpful in all ways. It’s close to many restaurants in the area, and we were able to drive or get the food delivered to the place within minutes. The complimentary breakfast that was provided was good. We needed a rental car for a day and Sharath was able to arrange it within a short amount of time. All in all, we had a relaxing stay and look forward to staying at this place in our future visits to Mangalore.

This property is simply outstanding..... a fantastic location for a vacation..... The setting is stunning and close to nature. This farmhouse is very well kept, with lots of greenery and adorable pets all around..... The staff is extremely friendly and polite. incredibly tasty The home cooking prepared by the caregivers was delicious. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a heritage touch and modern amenities...loved the ambience...it was simply an exotic experience enjoying the campfire and barbeque at night, which were organized by the caretakers. I would highly recommend this property and would return there in the near future.

The host was incredible, he will help you so much and respond to anything and everything to make your trip amazing!! The apartment itself was amazing, with 2 big bedrooms both with amazing air con.. there is a kitchen, washing machine and 2 beautiful balconies. There is also filtered drinking water which was great. You can get a tuk tuk anywhere for very cheap making it a perfect location too! We would come back in a heartbeat and recommend to everyone.
