Our host Sylvia, went out of her way to ensure we had all the basic needs, milk bread butter cheese etc and provided a bottle of wine as well. Brillant as we got delayed to roadworks on the way to the accomodation. Sylvia ensured the accomodation was warm for our arrival and even had the fire lit. She updated us to where we good obtain a meal, groceries and the local bars a short dander away, that where pet friendly. Sylvia deserves a medal. This is what we call special hospitality. Plus the house was spotless, warm and very comfortable. Thank you Sylvia, yours Betty Tilly and Charles

The Gardener's Cottage is situated in Ballymote in a 1000 acre estate and offers a private garden with a barbecue. Guests staying at this holiday home have access to a fully equipped kitchen.

This holiday home with garden views has a bathroom with a bath. A flat-screen TV with satellite channels is featured.

The Gardener's Cottage sits on a gorgeous 1000-acre estate. It seems that the owners may still be in the renovation stage. The kitchen, bedrooms, and one large bathroom looked brand new. The small upstairs bathroom needs an upgrade. That being said, it was spacious and comfortable for our family group of 5 adults and two grandsons (10 and 12). The setting was more isolated than we had imagined. You had to drive to go to town. But the grounds were conducive to long walks, beautiful scenery, vast open spaces for the grandsons to play soccer when we needed them to expend some of their energy. We would absolutely stay there again. Roderick, the owner of the property, was welcoming and gracious, even when our grandson locked himself in the bathroom and we had to call Roderick for help one evening.

Set in a 500-acre private estate, this 18th-century country house offers luxury rooms with countryside views and its own tennis court. Guests can enjoy on-site trout fishing in the river.

With antique furniture, free mineral water and newspapers, each elegant room at Coopershill House boasts a luxurious bathroom with a power shower and deluxe toiletries. Guests can relax with a selection of novels in the room, and enjoy tap water from the house’s own spring.

Coopershill is steeped in history which was in itself a reason for a memorable stay. Add to that the welcoming owners and their fantastic and friendly staff, from whom nothing was too much trouble, and cap the whole thing off with gourmet standard food (both the breakfasts and evening meals) using local ingredients, many from the immediate locale and attached gardens, all of which results, in my opinion that it would be hard to beat, not just in Ireland, but also many of the other countries that I have visited.

Located in Sligo in the West Sligo County region, Castlebaldwin Country Residence provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

Kitchen available to guest during stay, kettle and fridge.

Our host was a very pleasant gentlemen who took the time to learn about me and my friend during our stay. He was able to give me a contact name to help me trace back my heritage of my great, great, great, greatgrandmother who was born in Sligo County. He gave us ideas of places to visit and even offered to drive us into the Sligo Parade if we needed. He would accommodate us for whatever time we wanted to have our breakfast. Very clean and quiet place to stay. Would recommend this host and his place to say at.

Wow ! From the minute we pulled into the driveway we were treated like family. Their home and gardens look fabulous. The homemade breakfast offerings were absolutely over the top ! There are plenty of dining(and drinking) options within walking distance. Take a nice short stroll through the pathway that leads to the ruins of a castle and then winds through a charming village park. Thanks for having us …..Nick and Kim
