Host was very informative when messaging before around advice for travelling to the city and to Bali. Had no issue booking a hike of Ijen via the homestay. The food was great and the host even gave me a lift to the ferry port the next day!

Maya is a great host and so are her team members. It’s absolutely peaceful allowing one to read/meditate and relax. We stayed 3 nights and also did Ijen tour with them. The tour was great as well and our guide was even more amazing. I also rented scooter to check out the city which had plenty of amazing food options. Highly recommend staying here for more than just 1 night.

EVERYTHING!! I have read some really harsh reviews on this place and let me set them straight. This was the best hotel I stayed in out of the 7 hotels I stayed in during my stay in Indonesia. The Mosque sound - yes there are prayers in the local Mosque at around 4am due to Java being predominantly Muslim and need to pray before sun rise. During my stay in 3 different areas of Java there is the sound of praying all day every day, the sound of praying is not specific to Adara, people should maybe be open to different cultures rather than be ignorant. The host - Tommy was absolutely amazing, he used his own car to drive us to Green Bay and Ijen on two separate days, he waited for us whilst we enjoyed our day and then showed us amazing local food afterwards. Tommy's English is really good and he taught us a lot about Indonesia and the culture during our long car journeys. Tommy also collected us from the train station for free and took us to the airport. The hotel - The hotel is well decorated, it is exactly like the pictures and is clean, tidy and beautiful. I loved the open kitchen and the rooms were so relaxing and pretty. The bathroom was stunning and also had hot water, which is not common for most hotels. The breakfast- this was amazing we had the choice of omelette, scrambled or fried egg on toast and we also received a massive plate of fruit every morning. This was the best breakfast I had during my stay, it was substantial and tasty. I loved my whole stay here, Tommy made it extra special and the day trips we had with him, we will never forget. This hotel is such good value and provides things like breakfast and hot water that other hotels do not have. I enjoyed this amazing hotel very much and was a highlight go my holiday.

The keeper were very warm and welcoming, we ask for upgrade, and they provide the room with AC, the room we were booked has no AC, and on the ground floor, the Bapak keeper were quickly switch the room, cute small restaurant downstairs with cheap option of light food, but no alcohol.

Agus and Nitha are super friendly they were waiting for us at midnight when our train arrived. The position is perfect when you arrive in late night you can just walk in the front of the train station and crush in the cozy room. They organize for us the tour at Ijen and was with an amazing guide that speak perfect English, and even if some other groups weren’t able to find the blue flames he did it after looking for it! This is a real homestay, the mother and wife cooking in the warung amazing food. I will highly recommend this stay! Also close to the village for a short walk around.
